Dr. M. Durairasan,B.E., M.E., Ph.D. With more than twenty years of teaching experience, is employed as an assistant professor and holding Head of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at University College of Engineering in Kancheepuram, Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu, India. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) from Adhiparasakthi Engineering College in Melmaruvathur in 2000 and his Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Process Control and Instrumentation from Annamalai University in 2004. He has organised three one-week faculty development programmes in addition to taking part in a several number of national and international conferences and workshops. Fifteen research papers in national and international journals and seven research articles published in national conferences are to his credit. In addition to being a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), he actively revives numerous foreign journals. He is currently the principal investigator of a TNSCST-funded research project. His areas of expertise are power system optimisation and hybrid renewable energy systems and materials.
